Change is the nature of things, Shikou. Some good, some bad. The idea is to try and guide change for the better... problem is, not everyone agrees on what 'better' is... so it gets changed back, or changed the other way, only to repeat endlessly.

Change is one thing when it's natural, or meant to be.

Change is another thing, when it's forced through unnatural means.

Technically, isn't the undying urge to consume others also a bit on the unnatural side? I can't tell, honestly.
